TOP GUN DENTAL IMPLANT STUDY CLUB was established in 2016 by Dr. Waji Khan to be an organization to promote, expand and establish a program for oral health care practitioners to improve upon their literacy of how dental implant therapy can improve the oral health of their patients.  This club has one main goal, to make every clinician better!

EDUCATION:
The club offers a FREE online dental implant education course in conjunction with the CATARAQUI WOODS DENTAL IMPLANT INSTITUTE. CASE SUMMARY:

This is a case of a 60 yo female who was referred for removal of the 16 and placement of an implant and crown.  CBCT demonstrated a PA lesion on the previous endo.  The tooth was unrestorable otherwise.  We proceeded to place the patient on oral ABX, 3 day prior to the procedure, then removed the 16 and placed an immediate implant in the area, along with iPRF allograft and then a poncho aPRF Wide healing abutment.  The area healed well.  Once osseointegration was confirmed, we took a fixture level impression an delivered a screw retained zirconia on ti-base crown.

CASE SUMMARY:

This is a case of a 75 yo male who presents seeking implants in the maxilla to support his CUD and implants to restore function to the lower right quadrant.  After sanitive treatment we proceed to place 3 implants in the lower right as he wants individual teeth.  He has no history of bruxism.  We augment the thin buccal tissues which are commonly seen in these types of cases with Alloderm graft.  Poncho healing abutments are also used along with iD contoured healing abutments.  After 12 weeks of healing, we proceed with the newer contoured impression copings and the area is restored using Zirconium crowns on the contoured 2mm ti-base SMART bases from iD.

CASE SUMMARY:

This is case of a 30 yo male who presented to the office seeking to replace the flipper which he has worn to restore esthetics to his 21 for 18 years.  He lost the tooth playing ice hockey when he was a child.  The most obvious issue in his case was the orthodontic issues he has.  He has no issues with pain or function.  We did present a full ortho treatment plan to him which he was unwilling to do.  CBCT showed he had both hard and soft tissue deficits.  We planned to place an implant with simultaneous hard tissue particulate onlay grafting with Alloderm soft tissue grafting.  The final result looked great.
